Chris and Marta

Happy 4th of July!!

We just got back from our Fourth of July trip to St. George, Ut visiting Chris's family. It was quite an eventful weekend and somehow we managed to pack almost every waking moment with some kind of excitement. We didn't even leave Vegas until Saturday morning. We were the last to arrive so the fun was already on its way. →

Grandma’s Funeral… Our Final Goodbye

Grandma, We Love You. You will be missed dearly for the rest of our lives but it will make our reunion only that much sweeter. We won't forget you, or the full life that you lived, and the legacy you left behind.....

Ok, Yep, apparently keeping a blog is difficult after babies. NO excuses, but I will attempt to catch up a little here. My main obsession is Ava, so of course there will be lots of pictures of her. I can't help it, I never EVER thought I would be one of those moms who only writes about their baby, or →

Catching up….

This is a picture of my Cute little Grandma. It is a photo from a few years back, but every time I see it, i can't help but crack up. She was miserable in that outfit. She was forced into it for a float in a parade, and she would be absolutely mortified if she knew I posted it for →

Ava’s Blessing Day

Yesterday was Ava's Baby Blessing. I don't know, but I had been nervous about it, so when we finally did it... I was totally relieved! Chris did a fantastic job. Ava did good until the very end. The men were all saying how slippery her blessing dress was. Chris says that she started out in his hands, and by →

Karisa and Josh Christensen Wedding

On Saturday one of Chris's little sisters Karisa, married her fiance Josh Christensen. We drove up early Saturday morning to make it to the ceremony. It was a huge crowd, and the ceremony was really pretty special.  There was a really peaceful feeling, and I hope that Karisa and Josh will even remember a little bit of advice the sealer →

Soundtrack to your life

Chris and I met exactly 10 years ago in 2000, and here we are already at 2010. I love to relish in a few minutes of Flashbacks from the last decade. Here goes!!.....

Welcome 2010!!

The Nimmer's hosted our Annual New Year's Party. The food was great as usual, and it was the first party we've been to since Ava was born. Not as relaxing, and I think it will take a little getting used to.... but the Nimmer's did a fantastic job hosting the party. We followed through with the annual tradition of the →

Ava’s First Christmas – 2009

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! We also had breakfast at the Nelson's house Christmas morning for those who weren't visiting family. It was tons of fun, and the food was DELISH!!

Ava’s Video

This is my first attempt at making a video. I know it's a little rough, but I've had my computer for about a year now, and I'm just now learning how to use it. So please bear with me as I piece everything together. This video is of my pregnancy, and birth of our baby girl Ava. Don't worry, there aren't →

Can you believe we made it 8 WHOLE years?!!

Christmas 2004 Wow, I can't believe it, Chris and I have now officially been married a full 8 years now. It blows my mind to think that 8 years ago today, we were getting married in the temple, and beginning our lives together. Back then, things seemed so simple and laid out. Although we knew getting married was a huge step →

Work Party

Saturday we had our first Pharmacy Christmas Party. Everyone gathered at a restaurant called Texas De Brazil. It was my first time going, but I really liked it! I'm not a huge red meat fan in large quantities, but the quality of meat was soo good. There was a fantastic salad bar, and then when you're sitting at your table →

Happy Birthday Marta – 28 years old

Today I woke up to a little baby girl screaming in the next room... and also to my 28th birthday. It's so crazy that I have an 8 day old baby. It's probably the best birthday present I've ever received, but it's also the most work! My mom has been here for the last week, and sadly I had to →

Hanging in there!

This isn't a super exciting video, but I just think she is so cute! Plus, I think it's easier for our families to see what she looks like on video as opposed to photos. Enjoy!

Wecome: Ava Coleen Tyler

Wednesday evening, Chris and I checked into St. Rose Sienna Hospital for my induction at 7:30pm. I began my Cervidil at about 9pm and let it work through the night. At about 2:00am I got Dilaudid for pain, after that, I didn't feel a thing! I got my epidural at about 4 or 5am, and I literally couldn't feel it →

Chris turns the big 3-1

I just wanted to take a moment to wish Chris a very happy 31rst Birthday today!!! This year won't be quite as memorable as last year's birthday, but since Chris is usually such a low key individual..... I don't think he'll mind one bit. Chris, you are one crazy fellow, but that's the best part. You are one of the funnest →

Back in the Game

Soo....I guess you could say that Chris and I have about fallen off the face of the planet for the last couple weeks. However, I'm ready to check back into life here and start updating my blog and doing the things I normally do. So I guess I should back track a little and cover what's been happening over the →

A New Chapter

You know the old saying, " It's the end of one chapter, and the Beginning of Another", well.... I guess you could say that we're starting a new chapter in our lives. In September of 2007, Chris and I opened a pharmacy with a business partner. We thought this was going to be a match made in heaven, and the →

We’re all a little bit traumatized….

It all started with a phone call from my sister telling me the alarm company just called and told her they couldn't get in touch with Chris or I.....and our motion and door sensors were going off at the house.... In that moment... I knew EXACTLY what that meant. Last week out home was broken into for a SECOND time. It →

Safe and Sound? …..not so much

I know that many of our friends and family have been concerned about Chris and I, so I thought I might as well let the cat out of the bag and just go ahead and talk about what happened to us this weekend. Well, our house was broken into, and we were robbed. That's right, I said it... robbed. We had been →

I loVe OrpHanS LiKe fAt kiDs LoVe CAkE

This last week and weekend have been really busy for me. On last Tuesday I drove to St. George last minute to attend a Board of Directors meeting for the orphanage. I had to skip out of work early to make it on time, but I'm so glad I did because we had alot of really important stuff to talk →

Date Night….laughs…donuts….what could be better????

This week I surprised Chris with tickets to see a comedian we like.  His name is John Caparulo, and he's super funny.  We really like going to comedy shows, and discovered him on the comedy tour with Vince Vaughn. I happened to see his face on a billboard off the freeway on my way to work. He was appearing at →

Christmas Day

Christmas morning was pretty quiet at the house. We woke up early, and opened our gifts together with Christmas music playing in the background. It was really relaxing and we took our time opening our presents. I even made Hot Cocoa to drink. My friend Jamie brought HOMEMADE marshmallows the night before, and it made the most INCREDIBLE →

Christmas Eve

This year we were unable to go home to our families due to work, and so I wanted to do something a little different. Something we don't normally do. So...I signed Chris and I up to go to St. Timothy's church and help feed the homeless. I'm so glad that we did. It was a simple production, nothing extraordinary, but →
