Family

Happy 4th of July!!

We just got back from our Fourth of July trip to St. George, Ut visiting Chris's family. It was quite an eventful weekend and somehow we managed to pack almost every waking moment with some kind of excitement. We didn't even leave Vegas until Saturday morning. We were the last to arrive so the fun was already on its way. →

Good Dreams…

This morning I woke up thinking about Grandma. She was in my dream last night, and I can't remember all the details, but she was hanging out with us just like normal, and I was able to talk with her just like old times. I woke up feeling REALLY GOOD because I had spent the night hanging out with Grandma! →

Grandma’s Funeral… Our Final Goodbye

Grandma, We Love You. You will be missed dearly for the rest of our lives but it will make our reunion only that much sweeter. We won't forget you, or the full life that you lived, and the legacy you left behind.....

Hazel Pulsipher White {11/28/1918 – 06/5/2010}

Grandma is that cute girl, 3rd from the left with the blonde hair. My Grandma has been a huge part of my life since the day I was born. She lived so close to our house that I could see her washing dishes at the kitchen sink from our living room. Growing up there wasn't a day that didn't go by →

Ok, Yep, apparently keeping a blog is difficult after babies. NO excuses, but I will attempt to catch up a little here. My main obsession is Ava, so of course there will be lots of pictures of her. I can't help it, I never EVER thought I would be one of those moms who only writes about their baby, or →

Catching up….

This is a picture of my Cute little Grandma. It is a photo from a few years back, but every time I see it, i can't help but crack up. She was miserable in that outfit. She was forced into it for a float in a parade, and she would be absolutely mortified if she knew I posted it for →

Ava’s Blessing Day

Yesterday was Ava's Baby Blessing. I don't know, but I had been nervous about it, so when we finally did it... I was totally relieved! Chris did a fantastic job. Ava did good until the very end. The men were all saying how slippery her blessing dress was. Chris says that she started out in his hands, and by →

Karisa and Josh Christensen Wedding

On Saturday one of Chris's little sisters Karisa, married her fiance Josh Christensen. We drove up early Saturday morning to make it to the ceremony. It was a huge crowd, and the ceremony was really pretty special.  There was a really peaceful feeling, and I hope that Karisa and Josh will even remember a little bit of advice the sealer →

Ava’s First Christmas – 2009

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! We also had breakfast at the Nelson's house Christmas morning for those who weren't visiting family. It was tons of fun, and the food was DELISH!!

“Celebrating Ava”

For Christmas My mom painted a large canvas for Chris and I. We LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! She painted it about the time that I was ready to give birth to Ava, so it was a very happy and joyful time. That joy and time of celebration is definitely reflected in her art. We saw that the PERFECT place to →

Wecome: Ava Coleen Tyler

Wednesday evening, Chris and I checked into St. Rose Sienna Hospital for my induction at 7:30pm. I began my Cervidil at about 9pm and let it work through the night. At about 2:00am I got Dilaudid for pain, after that, I didn't feel a thing! I got my epidural at about 4 or 5am, and I literally couldn't feel it →

Lady of Leisure

I've probably been the biggest slacker of the blogging world for the last few months. I'm not exactly sure what my problem is, but maybe it's due to the fact that since I've become pregnant I've also felt like a total and complete BLOB. I apologize to myself for not being better at my journaling, but I'm sure I will →

Thoughts…

This afternoon was the close to a very emotionally strange week for me. Last Sunday I found out that one of my closest friends, youngest brother, passed away in a tragic car accident. It was unexpected, and completely knocked the entire family off of their feet. I could see and feel the devastation in my friend, and my heart ached →

Dinner Date with the Sis’

My sister Maggie and I "technically" live in the same city, but on such opposite ends that it's like a road trip just to get to each other's homes. I know it's a pathetic excuse, but serioiusly....IT'S FAR!!!! So after much schedule maneuvering, we were able to find a night where the two couples could meet up for a dinner →

Back in the Game

Soo....I guess you could say that Chris and I have about fallen off the face of the planet for the last couple weeks. However, I'm ready to check back into life here and start updating my blog and doing the things I normally do. So I guess I should back track a little and cover what's been happening over the →

Easter

Easter weekend was a ton of fun. I went to Mesquite to hang out with My sister Lillian, she was in town with her 2 kids, and I also got to spend some time with Gina and their 4 kids. We really didn't do more than just hang out, chit chat, and chase kids, but it was entertaining none the →

This last week and weekend have been really busy for me. On last Tuesday I drove to St. George last minute to attend a Board of Directors meeting for the orphanage. I had to skip out of work early to make it on time, but I'm so glad I did because we had alot of really important stuff to talk →

Brooke’s Baby Blessing

Sunday morning we drive to Mesquite to attend the baby blessing of my niece Brooke. It was great to have an excuse to see the family, and it's always nice to take a road trip with Chris. My brother is a counselor in the Spanish Branch there, (and has been called to the Spanish Branch for the last ba-zillion years →

90th Birthday Celebration

My Adorable Grandmother turned 90 Years old over the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend this year. I can't believe I have a grandma that's 90 and still so full of life. True, she is no spring chicken, but she still amazes me. She has to be one of the sweetest and most loving people in my life. I like to call →

Thanksgiving

It's the end of our Thanksgiving week, and I feel as if I have a social hangover. I've been dragging myself around the house all weekend, and I still haven't recovered all the way. We left Wednesday evening to drive to Chris's parents house. Karen and her family were there already, so it was fun having everyone there to visit →

Flashback Friday

Look how young we all are!!! I think these were taken soon after I graduated high school. It doesn't seem like we've aged much until I look at an old photo, and then I sure feel old! Before I know it, I'll be 30!! Eck! We had taken our family photos here in Las Vegas, and went out to the strip →

Happy 4th of July!!!

We had a wonderful holiday weekend. We spent it in St. George with Chris's family. He hasn't been home since Christmas, and I know he needed to take some time to get away for a little while.     I'm exhausted now because it seems like there was always something going on. WAAAAY too much food was eaten, but it was delicious!! →

Wedding Bells

Last weekend my cousin married his high school sweetheart. They have 2 children together, and he is in the Marines. Luckily, I was able to get some time away from work to get away for a little bit. Unfortunately, Chris wasn't able to come with me, but I'm pretty used to that by now. It was a lot of →

Baby Blessing

My sister had the Baby Blessing for John David yesterday. It was really nice, and he's such a cute little baby. John and Gina's family, Mom, and Grandma all drove up that morning. Chris and I barely made it in time for church, as usual we were running late. After Sacrament meeting we all left and went back to Maggie's →
